Boeing suspends production of its 737 MAX

The aircraft manufacturer Boeing (NYSE: BA) suspends the production of its 737 MAX aircraft, after not obtaining this year, as expected, the permission of the authorities to fly.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will delay certification until next year, possibly until spring. A decision that could further deepen the crisis of the American with more than 4,545 orders to be filled.

“Clearly, there will be no benefits for the European aircraft manufacturer because Airbus currently has no capacity to produce more aircraft. Someone who placed an order with Airbus today would receive delivery in 2024. So right now Airbus does not benefit or go to sell more planes than usual. With its A320 model Airbus has already taken the lead to Boeing in sales in the mid-distance market. Airbus continues to lead the race, but since Boeing is going through a bad run, it is lowering prices, so Airbus is forced to do the same and lower the price of its aircraft, which obviously affects its margins, “says Xavier Tytelman, an aviation expert,

While Boeing tries to refloat its battered 737 Max, Airbus has already surpassed it widely in both delivered aircraft and received orders. In the last 9 months, European aerospace has increased its deliveries by 28% compared to the 37% decrease suffered by Boeing.
