The British prime minister has obtained an absolute majority in the elections and has the free hands to execute an orderly Brexit, and that supposes a fracture in the European Union.
But why have the British chosen Brexit? Well, because the European Union project is not clear. An amalgam of countries, cultures and languages that make the European Union government slow and does not create in the citizens the identity of the United States of Europe.
With dozens of languages and different interests. With a rise of nationalisms claiming new nations in Europe. The European Union looks like the European Disunity. To create a true European Union there is no choice but to choose an official language and that there is a true European Citizen identity, and that is not going to be seen in many years.
And the British, logically say, that it is better to be in the European Union or reach agreements like Switzerland, on the movement of citizens and a free market agreement. That also leaves them free hands for free trade agreements with the US, Canada, and the countries that make up the Commonwealth.
We will see what happens, I do not believe that the United Kingdom suffers any economic crack or anything like that. But this could be the beginning of the end of the European Union.
