The cancellation of the Mobile World Congress

The real reason why the Mobile World Congress has been canceled.
A few days ago the Mobile World Congress (MWC) that was going to be held in Barcelona (Spain) was canceled. The congress has officially been canceled due to the Chinese coronavirus issue, but rumors about other reasons begin to emerge.
Recently a social-communist coalition has come to the government in Spain and has proposed measures that are clashing with the Trump administration. The policy in reference to Venezuela and the digital rate that Spain has proposed to implement are the points that have made Spain-US relations critical.
Sources close to the Government of Spain confirm that the idea that US companies have been pushed by the Trump Administration to make the move to Spain in the Mobile flies strongly. Although the South Korean LG Electronics was the first to get off the event, during the weekend the hardest blows came from the Americans Nvidia and Amazon. The Seattle company withdrew and its withdrawal had a great drag effect even though its stand in Barcelona was insignificant. Keep in mind that Amazon is together with Apple (which does not go to the MWC), Microsoft and Alphabet (Google), a member of the exclusive group of companies that has exceeded one billion dollars of capitalization. All of them make up the omnipotent group of the ‘bigtechs’ Americans. On Tuesday, there were several American companies that gave the lace to the event: Intel, Cisco, Facebook, McAfee and AT&T announced their withdrawal just hours apart.
It seems that Spain-US relations will be stressed and that the Spanish government will have to be careful at a time when it has lost a lot of influence.
Inspiring quest there. What happened after? Thanks!|
